Laura Hooper Calligraphy offers a full range of calligraphy and invitation services for weddings and other special events. Specializing in couture custom maps, photo save the dates and announcements, letterpress invitations, envelope addressing and reception items for the most discerning of brides and grooms.
Each invitation suite is carefully letterpressed or engraved by hand, enhanced with the beautiful lines of flowing calligraphy, and is modernized by vibrant, modern patterns and custom motifs. All our maps are hand-drawn and personalized for each client, ensuring a completely custom keepsake which can be used with your invitation suite, Save the Date, as a tote bag, or in your welcome bags.
Each piece that leaves our studio is created especially for the individual client by the artist, Laura Hooper. By taking a personal interest in each client, she ensures the perfect design for your wedding stationery, and the very best customer service experience. Laura Hooper Calligraphy is also eco-conscious, using only recycled and 100% cotton rag papers, as well as incorporating green methods into daily production and shipping.

Hmmh. That’s how Paper Girl felt one summer after receiving numerous invitations. Ecru and white paper, a sheet of velum, and black cursive type. It seems as if party throwers had forgotten that invitations leave a lasting first impression and give a sneak peek at the special event. Obviously there is nothing wrong with the standard wedding invitation. But when Paper Girl decided to design her own wedding, she vowed something different. Armed with an undergraduate degree in graphic design and a master in fine arts-she’s an installation artist-Paper Girl locked herself in her studio until she created an invitation that perfectly captured her wedding. Soon after sending her invitations, Paper Girl’s phone started ringing off the hook. From that point, she found her calling. Since then, her work has graced the pages of InStyle, InStyle Weddings, Angeleno, Brides, Wedding Bells, Daily Candy, and been featured on countless TV Shows and websites.
