The Paper Door
At The Paper Door, we love working with our clients to design custom invitations that will make the perfect first impression for any event. Our mission is to bring you chic and fabulous designs and to make your entire invitation experience enjoyable.
Damon Canfield began designing custom invitations out of his mother’s gift store in 2008. It was not long before the invitations began to take over, prompting Damon and his mother, Tracy, to close the store and open a studio space devoted entirely to custom invitation design.
We recommend starting as early as possible! The entire process, from the first consultation to completion, takes approximately 8 weeks. The Paper Door uses the finest of paper and offers various printing methods including: letterpress, thermography, offset, foil, embossing, engraving and digital.
If you can dream it, we can create it!
Hmmh. That’s how Paper Girl felt one summer after receiving numerous invitations. Ecru and white paper, a sheet of velum, and black cursive type. It seems as if party throwers had forgotten that invitations leave a lasting first impression and give a sneak peek at the special event. Obviously there is nothing wrong with the standard wedding invitation. But when Paper Girl decided to design her own wedding, she vowed something different. Armed with an undergraduate degree in graphic design and a master in fine arts-she’s an installation artist-Paper Girl locked herself in her studio until she created an invitation that perfectly captured her wedding. Soon after sending her invitations, Paper Girl’s phone started ringing off the hook. From that point, she found her calling. Since then, her work has graced the pages of InStyle, InStyle Weddings, Angeleno, Brides, Wedding Bells, Daily Candy, and been featured on countless TV Shows and websites.
